Still Alive

I made it through the winter, that is if it’s finally over. I dare to hope!

I will remain scarce here though because I’ve actually started clearing stuff out around this place to prepare for our move.

The closet? No, I haven’t tackled it yet but soon, very soon.

I’m using the Holly motto when purging. I don’t recall which post she said it in but somewhere she mentioned her criteria. “If I don’t love it or use it, it’s gone.” That one statement is really helping me in this purge. Thanks, Holly. I always learn so much from you!

  4. I’m taking on that same mentality about … STUFF … that seems to be crowding my home. Even stuff my grandmother gave me (although, I’ll admit that its harder to get rid of that kind of stuff!)… Good to hear from you again!

  5. I’m right there with ya on the purging thing. It’s one of my goals for this year. Except mine is not in preparation for a move, but recuperating space and organization in our home after 11 moves in 12 years of marriage! I am now more than ready to settle down and be in one place for awhile! While it is time consuming, it is so freeing to get rid of stuff! I really thought it would be harder. Now, if I could just get my time organized to spend more of it at this task I would be doing great! :) I laughed out loud when you confessed you STILL hadn’t done the closet! I have one of those areas that I am avoiding, too. I’m afraid it will suck me in when I start! :)

  6. Molly, my daffodils just popped up over the weekend! That’s always my first sign of spring.

I need to purge, too. My problem is that it’s an never-ending process. I need a group of people to come in and do the whole thing in one day, otherwise, I do it myself and drag it out all year. Only to begin all over again!

  7. You and that closet are cracking me up, Molly. You have no idea how good you’re going to feel when that’s finally behind you.

I totally agree with that motto - love it, use it, or donate it to someone who might.

  8. I need to take on that motto. With 10 people living in my house, clutter and junk is taking over.
